Beach`s Supper Club in Lena

Expensive, dark and small portions. The two four ounce pork tenderloins wrapped in bacon were over cooked and very dry. The full rack of ribs had little flavor. Finally the fish and chicken combo was tasty, but child portion size. Making a profit is understandable, just not all of it from a party of three.

Worst service I have ever experienced. I have never felt like I wasn't welcome in a restaurant until I walked in there.... If your not part of the supper club... don't bother. 10+ minutes to get a drink when nobody was at the bar. I couldn't even get a refill on my drink while I was eating dinner. Will never go back. Will just go to the Fieldstone from now on.

The prime rib was horrible. Extremely tough and no flavor. It was cooked perfectly but it was the worst piece of meat I've ever had. Also don't get the French onion soup. It was just beef broth with a few onions in it. I was highly disappointed with our meals. The service was excellent and probably the only reason I gave Beaches the second star.

Beach's is a great place to go for good food. They have a great prime rib and their onion rings are to die for. Their prices are reasonable. They also have a children's menu.

Family owned and operated with smiles, love and a welcoming hug. Friday night catfish is a step back in time. It's a "whole catfish", not a filet. You might even catch Grandma bussing tables with the same smile she's passed down to her daughter and Granddaughters.

Nothing to right home about. Food is very medium ground, not horrible, not great. Just food. I can cook to my liking for a lot less money so next time we'll stay home.

The food was great! The restaurant seemed clean. I like that it was darker inside. The recessed bar seemed really cool and the whole restaurant seemed easily accessible. I did not use the bathrooms so I'm not sure on the status of those. I believe this is a family owned restaurant as I heard one of the waitresses talk to her grandma and some of them appeared to be maybe sisters or cousins? I liked the quiet and friendly environment!

We love Beaches and always will. While we moved away from the Lanark area and cannot come on a regular basis, we will come for dinner with several Lanark visitors who are friends of ours everytime we come to northern Illinois; As I see reviews I must say those that are critical do not have a true experience of the warmth that exists there. I feel I am part of the Beaches family every time I visit. People from Lena immediate area need to support a great business in their home area. If they do not, THAT IS A SHAME! Lanark people are jealous of what you have there. Beaches reminds us of the great supper club traditions that live on in Wisconsin.
